In the latter half of act three, Clair has a bit of a revelation. While talking to Drake, she decides to challenge his belief that he's just weak and a normal person should be able to handle his situation. She lets him know that even though he's never known anything different, what's happened to him isn't right and he's responding to it in a perfectly normal way.

Later when she heads back to the rest of the group, she realizes that the same sentiment kinda applies to her as well. Even by Universe Y's standards, her early childhood experiences were really fucked up and the glitch world is a lot more than anyone can handle alone. So by forcing herself to bottle up her emotions like she does, she is basically holding herself to an impossible standard.

It kinda helps her understand that it's okay for her to not be strong all the time and to rely on other people more.
