x'O Damn I'm bad with normal colour pencils! *embarrassed* I just.. didn't get myself to colour it with computer, because it's so slow! >_< And the lineart isn't quite good either, I had to take a copy of the original one, because it was drawn on the chemistry excercise paper and couldn't therefore be coloured. Soo... This is edited quite much with computer too, though it didn't make it look any better.. ^^"This is the outcome of a history lesson, in brief. : ) I enjoy my classes so much!

Mielestäni tausta ja sen väritys onnistui hyvin! Sillä ne sai minut haaveilemaan tuonne Namin viereen ottamaan aurinkoa. XD Itsekin Nami on namimainen, tosin hänen olkaluut ovat pelottavan kulmikkaat. D: Silti kokonaisuus hyvin.

It turned out well; very authentically Japanese animé styled. And when i said about it being original, i meant did you come up with the expression yourself, or did you copy one of Nami's expressions from a part of the animé (or manga)?

No problem - perhaps i didn't explain myself well enough the first time! It's good that you're striking out with an original style; there are so many cookie-cutter animé styles out there.
In fact, i may be able to pass on some experience to you. There's a book that might be of interest to you called Simplified Anatomy For The Comic Book Artist, (attributed to Christopher Hart); i have a copy myself, and i can confirm that it's an excellent book, and one that could really be of use to you in working on this original style.

I see O_o I have tried some drawing tutorial books, and found them more or less of a help.. : ) But maybe one that's focused on anatomy would be very helpful. ^^ Thank you for the recommendation, I'll keep my eyes open for that book.

Aww, i wasn't meaning to bash your work! Please don't think i was criticising you when i mentioned the book; you've got real artistic talent. I think a lot of artists can learn and be inspired by reading art books, even if they're already talented - personally, i don't think i'll ever stop developing as an artist. I used to be at a stage where i thought it was cheating to be influenced by other artists, but i've come to realise that it's really important to keep moving on and learning wherever you can.

I know what you mean; it's really distressing trying to find your own style when everyone else's works seem to be influencing. But as you said, during time you'll finally learn, just by keeping drawing and not caring if there are sometimes hints of other people's styles^^.
And I'm also very thankful for your nice words ^^". I'm glad to hear you think I've got talent, and that's what I thought about you when I checked your gallery :3 Let's both try our best in drawing in the future, too.

a) Awesome. I'm pleased that i didn't offend you.
b) I personally think that a lot of styles are largely comprised of a combination of other styles and influences. I would say that for many people, it's very difficult to go through life without being - even subconsciously - influenced by the world around them. I'm sure that the style i work with, even though it seems original to me, is really largely made up of a lot of different fragments and memories.
