Last year [link] had an art contest based on Diablo 3. I chose to paint King Leoric from Diablo 1.Originaly only two winners were chosen, along with a random entry. But they had a runner-up contest, where my piece won.
The 'big' prize was a Tyrael pet in WoW, along with the book 'Swords' signed by the author himself, Ben Boos.
No pet for me, though the book is a really nice addition to my shelf

Although I cannot really recognize King Leoric in there, I think this a superb artwork... really awesome painting style. I like it.
You knew, that Leoric was meant to be some kind of skeleton king? Or, in that case I really apologize, you refered to his prehistory (I think, he once ventured into the labyrinth himslef with some fellow knights and later the curse came upon him).

Nah I know, doesn't look anything like King Leoric in Diablo1. There's been a lot of talking about Diablo 3's new colorful approach.. this is more of a tribute to the new art-direction.
