Description
CHARACTER: Hot Spot is the brother of Optimus Prime. He served as Optimus' second-in-command when he became the leader of the Autobots. When Optimus left for Earth, Hot Spot worked with Jetfire to defend Cybertron from threats. When Jetfire left, Hot Spot led the Cybertronian Defense Division until a Terrorcon swarm attack by Alpha Q. There, he found an old student of his, Blades, as well as Groove, First Aid, and Streetstar. Working well together, they became the Protectobots and the defenders of Cybertron. Eventually, after Dauntless Maximus' demise, Superion kept his brother's Combiner Spark and gave it to Hot Spot, allowing the five Protectobots to combine into Defensor. One of their missions involved freeing the Counterforce from the Sea of Rust where they met Victorion. Hot Spot was able to convince Pyra Magna to join them & the Autobots. Eventually, Hot Spot & Pyra Magna would become Conjunx Endurae and have a son named Inferno. However, Scorponok would attack Cybertron, killing all of the Protectobots except Hot Spot & take Inferno. Inferno would be reprogrammed by Megatron to serve the Decepticons, but Hot Spot would go after them and try to break the programming. Unsuccessful, Inferno would give his life, knowing that being a Decepticon is worse than living. In solitude, Hot Spot met Heatwave, revealed to be a component of the ancient combiner, Nexus Prime. For their friendship, Heatwave resurrected Inferno as Roadblock, bringing Hot Spot back into the fight.

ART PROCESS: I recolored the Armada Optimus Prime design.

ART BACKSTORY: I had created some Rescue Bots as Protectobots art, but thought of some Armada Characters that would work, so I went ahead!
