I like Heath's later portrayal. In the beginning they made him a jerk, now his a bit of a nerdy "loser" much like Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

Holt Hyde is the son of Dr.Jekyll/ Mr.Hyde. Holt Hyde is the alter ego of Jackson Jekyll. Jackson Jekyll avoids getting sweaty/ hot by being cold. Getting sweaty will make him turn into Holt Hyde because he is getting "hot". Hence why Holt has Fire hair...make sense?
