Description
So this is the 4th time I'm doing the Assassin's Creed: Origins campaign, and I actually legitimately finished the campaign only once because every single time I got distracted by something at the very end and then had the need to replay it. It was either an actual bug that didn't let me finish one (1) mission and that ruined absolutely everything, the fact that I didn't know I could only unlock Steam achievements if the save file isn't Animus hacked (and I figured I could be allies with all aggressive non-human animals so I ditched my first playthrough at the very end just to start a new one, then to realise more than half of my achievements never got unlocked), I learned new tricks and small details that no sane person knows of, accidentally sold some storyline items I can't regain, etc.
So now, 470 hours in, I finally learned enough about the storyline, characters, map, missions, NPC behaviour and small charming details, that I am taking the newest and final playthrough slowly and most seriously. I am keeping my second save file which has more than 200 hours and almost all legendary items, but I wanted to experience the whole story once again, this time a lot more personally. I was extremely impatient the first time because I love the game so much, especially the environment so I wanted to take 400 screenshots at the same time and I rushed through the game, not paying too much attention at how I play it. I am OBSESSED with realism, it is extremely important to me that I play the game how I want to play it, how I would do it if I was Bayek. This made me realise that I don't want to run through the game. By that I actually mean literally run. One of my favourite things to do in the game is to get into a village or city and just...walk. Take in the environment, the culture, the society - every single little detail. I always slow down while I'm in a populated area when on my mount so I don't make NPCs uncomfortable, I learned whistling can make everyone aware of you, including common NPCs which is how you can alert them not to get run over, you can "sit down" on a bench next to a person and just enjoy the afternoon, you can crouch next to a campfire and warm up, you can help your fellow farmers carry some baskets and haystacks when they drop them after getting startled by soldiers. I'd go to a market and just walk through the dusty hallways looking at goods, I'd take my burning arrow and light some candles, or pet the cats and watch the dogs wag their tail when I'm looking at them. I do not fast travel anywhere and I do not hunt, if I have to complete an animal den location, I lure bandits or soldiers to the objective, making sure no other non-human animal gets hurt except, sadly, the "boss" and afterwards I kill all the soldiers and bandits to make sure they don't harm anyone else. I also learned that you can point at a prey animal with a hunting bow and Senu will hunt them for you, which makes things much simpler ethics-wise since an eagle is a predatory animal who needs to hunt to survive. I do not tolerate any sort of violence towards non-hostile NPCs or non-human animals so I tend to help the farmers and threaten the soldiers. If I end up fighting a soldier, I make sure to put them on the chariot and drive them away or hide their bodies so the farmers don't get scared. If bandits attack farmers, I'll make sure they die a slow and painful death. If a farmer somehow gets killed, I vowed that I would take their body and carry it to the nearest embalmer, no matter how far. I know that has no effect on the gameplay but it means a lot to me because that's something I would do. There are many many other little details that make this game absolutely incredible, especially if you're as passionate about Ancient Egyptian lore and culture as I am, but the last one is something that sparked some inspiration. I also learned that you can put bodies on two different mounts, one yours and one random one, then call your mount and get on the other, and then your mount will follow you. That is perfect for whenever there are victims of Ptolemaic soldier brutality so I can carry two to the embalmer at the same time. Talking about dead transporters, I suddenly got inspired to make a mummy OC (actually an extraterrestrial) who carries corpses and helps out common people. His name is Sepa, called after a centipede god in mummified form. I will make sure to make some art of him in the future, probably because he is one of my favourite OCs I've ever had.
Anyway, here is one of the screenshots from the game featuring the mummy outfit and the funerary mount Aapep, this is the necropolis in Sinai. Getting the DLCs was one of the best decisions I've made in my life, let alone getting this game. I currently have around 400 4K screenshots and I physically can't post all of them on here but I will be posting some.

I suggest you play it once you can fully experience it without getting disturbed :^) so absolutely first find the time for it!
And LMAO, I can only assume you meant it set your PC on fire because I am not surprised. I'm playing on ultra (with some components on high because they don't make a big difference) and in 4K and I simply refuse to tone it down because a) it would ruin my experience b) there's a HUGE difference between 4K and any lesser resolution despite people saying there's "no" difference c) most importantly, the change in screenshot quality would be immense and I can't let that happen. I do sometimes experience some lag spikes but my laptop runs it pretty well, the lag spikes occur specifically because of Nvidia GeForce Experience with which I take screenshots (since Windows screenshotter can sometimes crash the entire OS)
But yeah, I personally find the game extremely satisfying
