Description
POSTER HERE: www.etsy.com/listing/99532700/…Edit: The correct titles for Saito and Fischer (The Tourist and The Mark, respectively) have been updated in the print version
UPDATE #4: a DD! Just when I thought this couldn't get any more popular, heh. Many thanks to =MrPersonGuyMan and ^StormPenguin for the honor!
UPDATE #3: I'm absolutely stunned by the fact that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Arthur from the movie) tweeted about this graphic: twitter.com/hitRECordJoe/statu… . wow.
UPDATE #2: Prints are now available. Enjoy
UPDATE: Didn't expect it would be this popular. Thanks for the views, comments, critiques, favs and tweets everyone! I'm going to try and make this into a print, stay tuned
As most people agree, Inception was fantastic.
Instead of mapping the entire movie with the countless theories out there, I wanted to visualize the main inception mission, with its different levels and kicks, hence the graphic.
Software: Rhino, Illustrator, Photoshop

A.Aronsson's impossible figures were hugely influential in the 'inception' of this graphic, check out his awesome work here: andreasaronsson.com/tag/imposs…

This is brilliant! Everything, or most everything, else with inception seems to be on the road to complicate it even more... but this keeps it organized and simplified...and yet is complex in its own way. I never even considered that maybe ariadnne and fischer where just in Cobbs dream and that then he went to limbo...wow, my mind has been blown. I really like the colors and graphics, and the use if silhouettes instead of people. If this is made into a shirt i will get...even considering getting a print f this. Would it be like a poster?

THIS IS AMAZING
But wasn't 'Cobb's dream' Limbo? Or was his dream a projection/copy of the world he and Mal made together when they washed up on the shore of their subconsciousness??

wow, i never realized it until i saw this, but it was possible to fall into limbo from any of the dream levels, not just the third level, it's so fantastic that you came up with this

But yet we still do not know if the top kept spinning or not. A shame, really.

I know right? Everyone in my theatre were like, "Oh COME ON!" when the scene ended right before the top looked like it was going to fall.

4th level is not cobbs dream, its supposed to be limbo, where fischer went when he was killed in level 3 and where cobb eventually finds saito from his eventual death due to gunshot wound in level 1.

It all starts with an idea. A simple, basic, idea. You have taken that idea and turned it into an amazing graph. Brilliant job.
This was not at all difficult to follow, granted though, I have seen the movie and understand what is going on. Still, wonderful job.
Congratulations on the Daily Deviation and tweet from Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Greeeeeeeeeeeeat! I also found myself trying to draw a mental pyramid while watching at the movie. I even made some rough diagrams when I arrived at home... Thats a nice way to resume such a complex film, whose events´line I always compare to the mechanism of matrioshka dolls

LOL, I just realized why I thought the map structure was so cool. It's an Endless Triangle paradox. Very clever!

WOW! I love the structure of the map and the symbols you used. This really makes the movie easier to understand. I might have to show this to my parents, they were completely stumped for most of the film. Of course, they may not have been paying attention, 'cause I understood it just fine. XD
Joseph Gordon-Levitt tweeted about this?!?!? I hereby dub you the most fortunate person EVER!!!
GODS am I jealous. XD

The 4th dream was really a Cobb's Dream?
I belive it was Ariadne's Dream, but just filled (with memories) by Cobb's.
It's logical at all...

This was a very complex film, and I wouldn't blame anybody who said they were lost by the end of it. This really helps though, and it is amazing to see the entire basic outline all layered out in one image.
It is a film that you will watch several times, and still pick out more details every time.
