Not to sure. I imagine Link is somewhere around 5'6 and Ghira's 6'. Most villains are freaking giants.

Jeez, all I did was disagree with the copy-and-paste cliche game theories. Honestly, we NEED more characters like him. Intelligence and stealth are almost exclusively villainous traits. Magic is portrayed by most writers as 'black vs white', and it's usually the warrior that's good and the mage that's evil. It's why I loathe the manga. Akira Himekawa COMPLETELY missed the point.
I am ALL for the Happy Mask Salesman being a benevolent figure and not a stereotypical "normal fantasy villain" sort of character.

It is one of those weird quarks Nintendo did with his character. Most main characters are taller than the majority of people they encounter, or at least equal height. But when Link jumped to 3D, he was made the opposite way.
Then again, you never really know what his age is inside the games. You just have Kid Link and Adult Link. For all we know, 'Adult' in Hyrule could be 16. He does look low-twenties, though, so maybe he's just a late bloomer and still have growing to go.

But yeah, that's true. But don't forget, these are all different incarnations of Link, so chances are they're still pretty young. And if I recall correctly, guys don't stop growing till they're 20 (?), so if Link is between, I'd say 14-18 (seems to be a safe range ignoring Kid Link), he still has some time left.

I think that it was said that TP link was the oldest of all of them at 17. Most "Adult" Link(s) are 16. FD Link is supposed a grown adult and his height is said to be around 7'6" or something like that. I'm guessing it's just the influence of the God mask but wouldn't that be a hoot that that's actually Link's adult height and size and unfortunately he just does most of his growing around 18-20 or something. LOL it would kill me. That he grows only after all the life threatening stuff, especially since a bigger body would help in some fights, ... not sure if Epona could safely transport him though.

Well he still has a few more years ahead of him to keep growing. But damn, 7'6"? He'd dwarf Ghirahim! Epona's a pretty big horse; she'd support him. As long as she's worked a lot, she'll have plenty of strength.

Actually, that one guy in TP that stands on the tall rock in the river in Ordon on Link's day off is SHORTER than Link. Go play it, use Z lock on that guy (He asks you to use Z-Lock), and you'll see that LINK IS TALLER, DAMMIT!

but average height for a guy is taller then that of a girl, so while 5' is pretty average for a girl it's pretty short for a guy

They're all also different descendants, so chances are some are bound to be taller than others.

Still one has to wonder, if it's the same soul but different genetics for each body (ie reincarnation is the soul, the genetic make up of the bodies is different possibly even random) how does he end up as shorter than average each and every time he's reborn. Unless the soul seeks out a similar body each time perhaps?

Actually, Mathiais, I believe you are absolutely correct. For one, Link's almost invariably blond (I saw a redhead link once and maybe a few brunettes but he doesnt count)
tends to be small and often of a light build, the voice almost always sounds the same, and I have never seen one as of yet without blue eyes/cant tell eye color.
Also, while humans and hylians can/will inbreed and are part of the same species cannonically, Link is pretty much always hylian. Accept when he gets turned into something else.

Fun Trivia: Despite the fact Link's voice sounds the same, it's done by various seiyus.
I don't think the population of Hyrule inbreeds, otherwise we'd get stuff like Wrong Turn. Though I wouldn't doubt if Hylians "cross-breed" (lack of better term) with other humanoid beings around Hyrule like the Zora. It could just be the Spirit/Soul of the Hero being reincarnated into the various Links we have today, same with Zelda; Ganondorf doesn't count since he's usually locked away up until he is finally killed by Zant (who finished him off after a long battle against Link).
