Sloppy coloring 8(So... Katara and Sokka had never been away from the South Pole before embarking on this worldwide mission quest thing.
Granted, they took a flying bison pretty well in stride, and yes, I know they probably knew about sweat down in the South Pole, but I figure there were some interesting moments during the acclimation process.
This will not be my last post on this topic... heh...

LOLZ!!! Genius! I thought about this too! Like when Sokka read that trail in the Bato, June, and Nyla episode, and when he stuck his knife in a tree while he was with Jet to listen to it, I wuz like, wait, he grew up with no trees . . . where the heck did he learn that?!?
GranGran must have told them of the outside world some, given that she trekked all the way across it in her youth . . . and maybe their dad occasionally took them on trips or something . . .

I'm reminded of a 90's Disney Channel movie called "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century," about a girl who's lived in a space station since she was 3, so when she visits Earth for the first time in 10 years, she freaks out the first time it rains.
