Done with Watercolor, Acrylic, and Colored pencilsI realized belatedly that the planet Kimoku IS referenced in the sailor moon stars anime..and I didnt put it in this picture. :< Oh well...
But since it was destroyed anyway in the sailor moon series, I decided to draw a make believe world within Kakyuu's incense burner (which also doubles as her castle. Oh yeah I'm sneaky smart like that!). I also made a pretty broad reference to the "starlights" in the upper left hand corner (I'm working on a princessy picture of them as well). I'm not very....content...as to how the butterflies came out, but meh, I'll live with it.

EDIT: Realized belatedly that I misspelled "Essence" as "Essense". LOL, wut? Has been changed to correct spelling!

Now I'm starting to wonder if I can even stick ALL the senshi in their own heian kimono for a single Hinamatsuri picture. Probably have to go with digital.....cuz watercolor would require me buying a larger sheet of paper. XD

Why thank you! I enjoy making starry backgrounds with watercolor, despite how long they take. But they look so pretty afterwards. :3

Sweetness.Β But, while basing the form of her castle off of the incense burner she was safeguarded within by ChibiChibi was a good idea,Β I would have made some differences with the bottom of the castle, myself, for ballast/balance.Β
If your doing the Sailor Star-Lights as well, will they be getting a castle each, Or are they going to have a conjoined castle, like you did for the Asteroid Senshi?Β

To be completely honest, I havent decided yet as to what kind of castle(s) that I'll give the starlights (and I started coloring this monstrosity and I forgot the castle(s).....whoops!) . Technically the starlights are princesses from the small satellites that orbit Kimoku, but they also band together to find their precious princess.....so I dunno. I'll probably dream up something considering I haven't gotten too far in the coloring process.
What I know for certain is that in the starlights picture, Kimoku/Kakyuu is heavily suggested/mentioned, so the two pictures tie eachother together. Other than that, you'll just have to wait and see.

What kind of dresses would you do for the Sailor Star-Lights' Princess Forms?Β All I know about the Sailor Star-Lights that might help is that:Β
* Fighter's personal colour is a Blue colour ( ai-no-senshi.net/gallery/artboβ¦ & ai-no-senshi.net/media/image-gβ¦ ).Β
* Healer's personal colour is a Green colour ( ai-no-senshi.net/gallery/artboβ¦ & ai-no-senshi.net/media/image-gβ¦ ).Β

aaaand I beat you to the dresses already: I gave Fighter a pastel blue dress, Healer a pastel green dress, and Maker a pastel purple dress (on the same lines you were thinking about). I guess great minds think alike?
Although You'll have to wait and see for the design of the dresses.
I also picked up a couple of non-art-bucket-list projects so I may wait to post those till they are completely done. >D

Yeah I hope I dont either. :< Usually it means that I need to switch mediums for a little while (thats why I flip flop between watercolor and digital sometimes).
I may try to do some comics or something to throw a different medium type to hopefully bypass burn out (I'm full of creative ideas, but having the energy and time to do them is the kicker). XD

I'm still debating about a conjoined castle, or separate. Decisions decisions.... How I've done the the picture so far makes it difficult to stick in a building or buildings, unless they are placed a certain way. :/
I dunno at the moment for castle(s) names because I tend to name castles once they are finished or go with a general theme. Till then, I'll keep brainstorming and let you know when I come up with something devious.
