Description
When I started this picture I wanted to draw Luna in her human form being pretty and such. And then a little princess Serenity somehow managed to sneak into this picture and change the focus just a bit (she's so adorable with a missing tooth and that look of awe/wonder). Sooooo...it turned into a before bed lesson about the inner planets and stars. I mean, common...who DOESNT like to study stars or planets?
I loved planetariums as a kid/adult. 
Not so good things about this picture: If I had to redo it, I would make the sky more of a gray color, and make luna's hair gray black rather than purple. It just looks kinda weird to me. :/ Also not all the planets are crisp round...bleh. It annoys me, but I'll live with it for now. Also lack of interaction between Luna and Serenity kinda bothers me. I'd like them to interact more. :/

I really admire that idea, since Luna is Sailor Moon's guardian and everything. Luna was like her mentor to little Serenity in the past. I like how you made her a little older than Serenity too she would be like a big sister to her you know? Art work is beautiful as well. Excellent job!!

Thanks! I liked the concept too when I was finished with the picture. It seemed kinda silly to have only Luna in the picture just standing there looking pretty (which she is gorgeous, but that goes against her instructive personality).
Man, now I want to draw Human Luna dealing with princess serenity's antics on the moon. XD One project at a time....

It is a very nice semi-transparency effect on the skirt hem.
For improvements, I think that the whole background of the sky could be more muted. It is bold and flat like a wallpaper, with very little sense that they are objects in space.
More importantly, I might suggest studies on hands and feet.

I didnt really specify it in the description, but I kind of did this without really paying attention to what I was doing (i.e. the intensity of the starry sky). I wasn't intending it to get that dark...but blah thats what happend. If I wanted to re-do this picture, I would change a whole bunch of things with it (including the interaction between Luna and little Serenity).
As for studies on hands and feet, I've done studies on hands (well I was going to give you a link, and it appears I didnt upload it on DA. WHOOPS. But I did upload it on photobucket s1126.photobucket.com/user/idr… But not so much on feet. So I'll try that.
Also, just as a side note...I know you meant to be helpful, but your comment at first glance appeared rather short and negative. When making comments about improvements, try to keep positives/improvement suggestions(critiques) about equal.

Luna! Oh mah gawd. I can just imagine her saying something like:
"And this princess, is planet Mars.." and the Princess Serena would be like:
"Oh! I know that planet! My best friend Sailor Mars lives on it! She is so kind and always welcomes me in her palace!"
But LOL. That's my imagination.

I would too! Although I think most of her childhood was spent trying to teach her how to be a princess/ruler, and she would find ways out of getting out of schoolwork. XD
I.e. hide and seek around Queen Serenity's Desk/throne. Training how to transform into Sailor fuku (awww it's too big!), etc. XD

Cute painting! I read your description and I rather like Luna's purple hair. I agree that the sky maybe shouldn't be so black. Maybe not totally gray but some slight tonal variation here and there.
As for an easy way for there to be more interaction between the two characters...have Luna looking in Serenity's direction. A simple fix but it would create a stronger connection between the two.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. If I do something similar to this picture again, I'll probably have more interaction between the two.
