Volume 9 of RWBY really made me rethink a lot of my game. It originally was a action oriented game with easter eggs and comedy thrown in. Watching volume 9 really hit home the importance of the interactions between characters, and especially love and support between them.

I was actually really messed up by intentional lack of support to push Ruby toward her demise in the volume. I almost stopped working on the fangame when that happened. That really pushed me to include more bonding and supportive interactions between Ruby and her team, almost in a way making up for it in my own project.

I get it, hugs in an action game, WTF right? But I think with this particular set of characters, it was important.
