investigative reporter Jet Black has hit a dry spell. it has been so long that he is in danger of losing his job and his apartment. he searches high and low but eventually finds himself in his favorite watering hole....where he meets a young woman by the name of Motoko.....the two end up talking and they become friends with benefits......so far it seems things are going good...a few nights later he is kicked out of the bar by the bartender who believes he has a second chance at life and he shouldnt waste it there.....so Jet Black finds himself in a greek restaurant. he is left alone to read his news paper when he hears a struggle in the back room.....the owner is having a fight with his wife....,maybe he hit his big break.....minutes later the man walks out claiming to have killed his wife....Jet questions him until he has enough details for a story..he walks into the backroom to confirm this and finds out that the owners wife is none other than Motoko....she starts to regain consciousness but because he needs the story more Jet Black suffocates her and kills her......he succeded in getting a big story....unfortunatly he was the one on trial for it
