I'm going to reply to your comment over on this one since it's the updated version of that image, to which you linked me -
Aah thanks a lot, Ryxe! That really means a lot that you think so! I've been wanting to get into it for a long time but things are Hard and I had no Motivation but now I feel kind of alive and okay again so I think I can do this maybe!
I detailed it and cleaned it up last night, but now I'm having second thoughts that it's too generic or something. :<
I totally understand not having the motivation to do things, so don't pressure yourself if you're not feeling up to it. Otherwise though, I think if you made adoptables they would honestly be amazing. You really do have such neat concepts / ideas, and if I'm not mistaken, you get them fairly frequently too. Always good things to have for designs / etc.!
I don't think it's too generic! I do kind of miss the mane that the original sketch has that you took out on the refined version; I think it helped with the consistency / flow a bit on the design, but that's a personal opinion of course. Your linework is absolutely gorgeous though - so don't say things like "as good as it's going to get." It may not be as "clean" as some other people's styles, but to be honest the more sketchy feel to it really suits your style, and it gives it such depth / detail with the little light bits of shading here and there. C:
Those front claws / feet are really gorgeous, and the back ones look positively deadly. I love the elegance of the tail's wispy strands; I think that's my favorite part of this piece, other than that gorgeous skull-like face. And man the muscles on this guy - so defined! I do feel like it could benefit from there being something else on the head / face to draw the eye to however - perhaps more detail / design on the halo, or some horns / the mane you originally had sketched into it. Otherwise, it looks great, and is certainly more creative than a lot of the adoptable designs I see out there. I'm curious if you're going to add a color pattern of some sort to it? C:

Thanks a bunch Ryxe! I'm glad it doesn't feel too generic, I worry a lot that my designs aren't very interesting, so it's really motivating to hear that's not the case here. I actually plan on giving these guys many different hair and tail styles, but I decided while drawing this concept that perhaps it would be best if I left the hair out for now so I could figure out how its neck works. I love the mane a lot so don't worry it'll be coming back whenever I actually flesh the species out some more and give them more backstory and details~

Ah,
and somewhere along the line the occasional psuedo-epileptic fit like many canines do? I can see this being some interdimensional drool-baby.
