Description
While I was out at Houston, I made a jaunt into Louisiana for some good times in the swamp lands. Specifically, I went to Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge, which is a beautiful place to photograph local species. I saw countless birds and bugs.And alligators.
These skittish, shy creatures usually started swimming away the moment we got within sight. But this one just chilled across the way, which meant I got some of my best photos with this beastie. Sure is a beauty.

Great shot of the beastie. This cuddly little fellow is a member of a species that somehow out lived the Dinosaurs, and ignored evolution. Curious that.
