Commentary for April 24, 2020:

I feel like I’ve been a little bit lax when it comes to a good bit of interaction between Sonic and Tails in Eon’s World. Sure, they’ve had a few adventures together, but I think I’ve kind of just taken it for granted that the reader comes to this series aware of the BFF relationship these two have, so I haven’t done a great deal to showcase that. That changes here in this chapter.

I guess this little scene here is very loosely based on how Sonic and Tails first met in the Fleetway Sonic comic, where Sonic rescued Tails from drowning in a swamp. The Tornado wasn’t involved, but the scene is otherwise quite similar... albeit without Sonic being the colossal bully and jerk that he was in Sonic the Comic. But I digress. My point is, I wanted a scene that shows that Sonic will move heaven and earth to help a friend in need, especially when it’s Tails. Even when it means letting the bad guy get away.

I also wanted to showcase some of the wild stuff Sonic can do with his speed, rather than just go fast and smash Badniks. So, I’m really pleased with this page
