I, myself, think Eyeless Jack, BEN and Sally are pretty okay Pastas.
Other people have opinions that are different from yours sometimes.

I agree with you for the most part.
The original creepypastas were terrible.
There are three main reasons for people using "canon"(popular) creepypastas:
1)Exploit their popularity for views etc.
2)"Improve" it(give them a slight change to make it suitable for the given scenario the characters are in
3)The person is really genuinely passionate about the character.
I'm not going to add to that.

Eyeless? I like blind and/or blindfolded characters as well. An example is Riku from Kingdom hearts (I'd ask him to train me in blindfolds)...xD

more like, blind as in 'someone took his eyes out/has no eyes'
