Biography:
  Somi comes from a relatively well off korean family. She started receiving ballet classes at an early age of 4. When Somi was 7, Somi's family moved to the states to give birther to her brother. Her parents gave her the name "Zoe" as her English name, which she sometimes uses even now. During their stay in the U.S, Somi tried out several sports and hobbies, and displayed an unexpected talent in Gymnastic. When Somi's dad lost his job, her family could not afford to live in the U.S, and moved back to Korea four years later.

(Elementary + Middle School)
  Because Somi spent her earliest years as a student in the U.S, Somi retained many habits and behavior that were culturally different from Korea. For example, Somi did not understand how to use formal languages with upperclassmates, and often spoke out in class discussions when no one would. This separated her from the rest of her class. Although she was not a loner, she could not make any close friends, and was treated as somewhat of a problematic child. During this period, Somi was re-introduced to gymnastics by her PE teacher, who introduced her to his friend's gynmastic academy(hagwon) that offered national scholarships. Somi was quickly approved for the scholarship and immediately started training under the academy.

The summer before high school, Somi started dating a upperclassman she met in her gymnastic academy. Unbeknown to her, her boyfriend was a well-known delinquent at her school. Somi made friends with her boyfriends' friends, and was quickly recognised as a delinquent (iljin) despite having zero experiences of being a delinquent. Somi's straightforwardness, bluntness towards uperclassmates, and background in the U.S made her delinquent title much more believable to her classmates, who generally distanced themselves from her. Since most of her friends are delinquents, she learnt certain ways of speaking and behaviour from them (In Korean), even if she doesn't smoke, has never skipped class, has never bullied, and actually gets pretty good grades.
