Actually there is almost no distinction between the Mayan or Aztec pyramids, only that Aztec ones were typically larger

No actually it isn't. The only distinction between them is the carvings and stone work on the sides of them and that the Aztec pyramids, best example the Pyramid of the Cholula which is the largest Mesoamerican pyramid that was made by the Aztecs.

The Pyramid of Cholula was made long before the Aztecs wandered down from the north. The Cholula Pyramid is a Classic period structure.

Aztec, Mayan, and Asian, from the AVP movies predator have influenced by Asian, Aztec,and Mayan cultures. I kid of used a little of this influence in this drawing.
