I haven't had much time for crafting lately and when I've had some spare hours in the evenings, I haven't been in the mood for it... xD,
Despite that, I still can't walk past my favorite fabric store, when I happen to be in its vicinity. I just have to see if they have anything new. They didn't have any new furs or minkys (per usual), but with Christmas around the corner they had come up with the idea to cut up one of their more expensive faux furs and offer it in small bundles for those who like to make their own shaggy Christmas decorations. With a price label of 500 DKK/meter it's a lot more expensive than the other furs I buy there with their price of 200 DKK/meter, so I hadn't bought any of this fabric before. One of those bundles, however, seemed manageable so I bought one. After carefully meassuring the bundle, I figured that it would be just enough for two Small owls. I've finished the first one and this is what it looks like!
As for the quality, I have to say that the expensive fur has a very realistic quality and features different types of hairs, just like a real pelt would do. The less expensive and much shorter fur (seen in the face) is made up from only one type of hairs, so I guess that explains the price difference to some degree.

Materials: High quality faux fox fur, faux fur, faux suede, 18 mm metallic safety eyes and polyester filling.
