okay so, this is based off this song www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP_t6q… and some of the fanfics wrote

This obviously isn't my human version of Rotten Cupcake, it's ust a character I made based off of him

I know that neither the song nor the fanfics are like this, but it was three in the morning when I drew this (literally seconds after the song came out) and this isn't what the song or the fanfics are about, this is just how my 3am mind interpreted those things after adding my headcanons to them:

Imagine secretly loving someone for years, but never really telling them because you're too scared, and you want to wait for the right time. You're carefully planning when you should tell them, but then someone new jumps into the picture and immediately takes a liking to them. Imagine the person you've loved for years just drop contact with you, to hang out with this person they've only known a few days. You're shoved into a dire situation and amidst a panic attack, you act irrationally. As your mind goes into panic mode, you end up making such rash impulsive decisions that you accidentally screw up what remaining chances you had with your love. You lie to yourself, telling yourself that you can get them back, you just have to get rid of the one that replaced you. Obviously a non-calculated plan that was hardly thought through. You end up acting blindly, only to destroy the very thing you've wanted for years. You were prepared for rejection, but replacement and loss of contact? couldn't handle it, now you're all alone when all you wanted was affection, to be forever with the one you've loved for years. You've spent years being faithful to the person, following them and doing all you're asked to, when this other person comes out of no where and takes your love without warning. You've waited too long to make sure it was the right time to tell them. Now you'll never be able to tell them, you wont even be able to see them as a friend anymore. They treat you with hostility now, you're convinced they just want you dead. Whilst that may not be true, its certainly true to yourself.

how fucking sad is that?? Honestly?? i've had that happen to me before. Which is why even though the fanfics arent about that, i was seeing signs here and there, and Rotten Cupcake acted pretty much how i act when I'm having jealousy-induced panic attacks, so it's kinda how I interpreted t. Then in the middle of drawing this, GHOST's song "Happy Days" came out, and I listened to that and thought that the lyrics fit the concept.

I suggest after reading that^ you listen to the song and pay attention to the lyrics, because they're pretty accurate to this whole thing?? even though this isn't what the song's about. its cool how well the song blend with this

for those of you wondering, 愛してる means I love you. It's one of the only things I can say in japanese,
lol I only know how to say it bc one of Eyeris's songs
