Patty and Marcie from Charlie Brown/ Peanuts comic strips and movies and whatnot. suffered from artist block and had to reach deep down into my childhood to find something i really wanted to see/draw and here we go, my favorite characters from the show/stripsRelated content

Cool style. Patty is also a favorite of mine. Her ALWAYS chasing down charlie brown, trying to date him, certainly reminds me of Peppermint Pattys in my life. Which makes me think this is a bit uncharacteristic of her. I get the whole "Marcie is secretly into her" joke... so sorta like Smithers from The Simpsons. But Patty on the otherhand always strikes me as ... bi-curious at best! Certainly not lusting after Marcie.
Maybe they'd end up together after years of not getting it on with "Chuck" LOL. I love that new-years speciall from 85. Its one of my favorite peanut animated stories.
But i digress, it is a nice lil drawing none the less.

I thought the same. Marcie was always stealth stalking (like Smithers from Simpson) & Patty was a tomboy harassing Charlie brown. Eventually it mite work between them, though not quiet like this

NO. Marcie was literally inspired by Billie Jean King, a confirmed lesbian later in life, known for her tennis skill and intellectual knowledge. Peppermint Patty is just a tomboy. The thing is, despite Marcie's hidden orientation, the two are inseparable.
As the line from Just One Person says, "There's bound to be some other person who believes, making it a threesome."
Peppermint Patty: I just can't stand it, Marcie! Why won't "Chuck" notice me?
Marcie: I've no real idea why, "Sir".
Peppermint Patty: Maybe if I appeal to the man inside him, he'll fall for me. Now, if only I could find some other person willing to try this...

Exceptional work as usual, The shading is smooth and consistent and the figures proportions are well put together. I really like Patty, the foreshortening on her torso rivals even the work of myself.
