cool, I made one out of a notebook too but I just painted on the front γγΉγγΌγ which is the katakana (japanese) for "death note" it looks pretty cool I might post a pic on my gallery of it later this week

I was hoping I could ask you a question. ^^ You said you made this notebook? May I ask how you got the wording onto the leather bound cover? Did you carve it in? And if so, with what?

I Sort of Air brushed it on.
How I did it was I took an image of the DeathNote Title
and printed it off on a transparency
I then made a stencil out of the printed transparency
Other Information: Might Be Useful For other Projects
I then tried many times to write on the cover using
a Silver art Marker.
It didn't work. it leaked under the stencil
and left a sort of Silver Blot instead
I tryed erasing it with
Nail polish remover - didn't work
- sort of damaged the leather's finish
- Left a Residue
Alchohol - Didn't work
- sort of Damaged the leather's finish
- Left a Residue
Vegetable oil - Didn't work
- Didn't Damage Leather but it wouldn't work either
- You might try WD-40 But I never tried that.
- - No promises.
This may sound Disgusting,
But In my defence it was
The only thing that I found (by accident)
That could erase The Mistakes I made Initialy.

That could erase The Silver Ink was
Human Sweat of all random things.
This Information is In case You
Screw up how you want it to look
What I had to do to Apply the ink was.
I had to fashion an Air brush out of a
Bic 4-color pen tube and
a paper clamp
and of course the Silver Ink Art Marker
By blowing through the tube and
against the tip of the Felt Tip of the marker
I was able to Spray the ink onto the stencil
and the Leather cover.
it turned out perfect after I had practised the
Air brushing a bit first.
remember to tape the stencil down and to place a guard around the stencil to prevent from splattering ink all over the cover.
