Description
Colored it with colored pencils.I actually loved it at a certain point. I had her and the ground colored. It was actually decent. But then, I decided to color the sky, using crazy swirly design-ness supposed to symbolized emotional anguish. FAILED! So I tried to cover it up. Only screwed it up even more ;_; If I get the chance to, I might delete it in photoshop. Eventually. Ok, screw that; I'm too lazy XD

Yeah, i can't remeber the number of drawings i've 'ruined' by trying to do a background. this one turned out okay though, perhaps you should try removing the background in Photoshop.

about the only thing I don't think has been said yet - I really like the chains on her wings, so even in death/angelness/whatever, she's trapped . . nice touch.

I REALLY like this image. Being that it is colored only with colored pencils, and there are no dark, bold black lines to define it, it seems to create a kind of soft vulnerability. A broken soul, an ending life. As far as the "screwed up background" goes, the brown reminds me of the rocks she once used as weapons, and the slight swirl in them appearing around her makes me think of her aura, or her soul. Altogether, this is a beautiful image. The subtle detail and softness in contrast to the sketchy background is gorgeous. I love this. Extremely well done.
