Fun Fact: The racial name "Kasslyn" as well as "Zorph" as given to me by a teacher at my middle school, Maplewood K-8. Her name was Nancy, and she specialised in helping blind children. She loved the Wizard of Oz, was extremely artistic, gave me a sculpture of a gargoyle to protect Skeeter's ashes when she passed, and I told her I'd keep "Kasslyn" in mind for if I ever needed a racial name for something. Years later, as these things I deemed "L'il Hoppers" were running rampant in my art, I needed something to call them officially, and while digging through old art books, I found the two words scrawled on a page in someone's handwriting that was not mine, "Kasslyn" and "Zorph".

Fun Fact II: Ripto was not intentionally named after Spyro's Rip-toe Rage. I asked a friend to help me name a dragon, and they spouted off with "Rip-Toe" meaning to joke about it. I had never played a Spyro game, so took the name literally. The name has stuck ever since, and my friend did not tell me that she was referencing Spyro until nearly a year later.

Fun Fact III: Suike is named after ~nnys-daughter 's father and father's wife's names spliced together: Susan and Mike. Vakkel joined Suike's crew in a dream I had.

Fun Fact IV: Poposquee's name was donated by ~nnys-daughter , and whereas all the other illithids I have made and used are strictly named after Washingtonian place names ( Enumclaw, Puyallup, Yelm, etc. ), his name is not based on any geographical location ( to my knowledge ). However, when people learn about my policy to name illithids after Washingtonian places, they inevitably ask me, "So... where's Poposquee?"

Fun Fact V: Elijah's hair is based off of a teacher I had in middle school. When her hair was SUPER short, it was dark brown spotted with white, but was it grew out the spots turned into streaks. Her hair was that way because she was a burn survivor. However, a similar thing happens in horses when two dominant pigment-orienting genes are introduced to each other, which is the basis of my inspiration for how Elijah's hair is the way it is.

Fun Fact VI: Ozzy the werebat is named after Ozzy Osbourne, because I simply love the sound of O's and Z's together.

Fun Fact VII: Hrothbert and Stradivarius are loosely based off of chickens that I have owned. Hrothbert earns his name from the Dresden Files books ( "Bob" the ghost-in-a-skull's real name is "Hrothbert of Bainbridge" ), and Stradivarius from the famous violin-maker.

Kasslyn - Kasslyns were once called "Li'l Hoppers" for lack of a better term. They're small enough to fit in one's hand, and fit about the same niche as grass hoppers. I actually didn't intend for them to become a thing, they were just cute little sketches, but then they kept happening, so I just said "screw it" and let them have a place in my world.

Ripto; Dragon - Ripto is a dragon who lives on Korona. He spends most of his time by himself in his cave somewhere. Dragons are exceptionally rare creatures to find.

Tyra Stassio; Koronan Elf - Tyra is Vincent's wife. They actually met through her trying desperately to find a suitor before her father set her up with one. She had a plan to trick Vincent into agreeing, but once Vincent became wise to her plans, he wouldn't leave her alone until she told him what was really going on. She lived in a port town that Vincent's ship ported at often, so over the course of several years she finally broke down and told him what was going on, and to her surprise, Vincent agreed to marry her then and there. He told her that since he's away sailing so much, who would really be the wiser, and who would care? At least she'd be married and could stop being harassed by her father to get the deed done already. However, after many more years, the two ended up with two offspring - Anna and Christopher - and as time progresses, Vincent has begun spending more and more time at home with her, on his way to settling down for good.

Christopher Stassio; 1/4 human, 1/4 wanaik, 1/2 elf - Christopher is Vincent's son. Not much more to say there.

Tad; Ekishi - Tad's character hasn't been developed too much, and this character has a bit of a painful history to me, personally. Just drawing him was my way of overcoming all of that and putting it behind me for good, otherwise he doesn't have much point of being in this line-up.

Suike; Lukiria - Suike is the captain of a band of space pirates, set sometime in the future when interstellar space travel is common-place, and the Lukiria make it off of Makrabeh and Lopezz. She's strict on her crew, but makes sure everyone there is treated as family as much as they're treated as crew-mates.

Vakkel; Lukiria - Vakkel is Suike's second in command. He's also her runner for information-based errands and to negotiate contracts. He earned this position literally for his ability to run, and run fast!

Roki; Lukiria - Roki is a resident of Apocalypse and fancies himself a bit of a stunt-man. He also may or may not be able to tell your fortune!

Poposquee; Illithid - Poposquee is, essentially, Hoquiam and Roy's babysitter. For a crime unmentioned by him, he was sentenced to oversee their travels and progress in studying surface cultures, sociology, and other such anthropological endeavours. He hates every moment of it - especially since he can't ever get either of them to stay in one place ( and together! ) for long. Most of his time is spent just trying to find and corral the other two.

Elijah Vakcuz; Drow X Vampire - Elijah is son of Elizer and Shana Vakcuz. He's timid and shy, but through family association, he met Rodney and the two have grown up together like brothers. Elijah spends much of his time visiting with Rodney, and staying at his house, and Rodney ends up looking out for Elijah, taking on a very "big-brother" role for him.

Elizer Vakcuz; Vampire - Elizer is Kotier and Kokiri's youngest son, and yet the only one of their children who has ever been able to beat Kotier in a duel. This picture is meant to depict Elizer after that duel, but my brain skipped and I accidentally drew him looking much, much older than he would be at that time! LaShana and Draik patched him up before chastising him for having an epic battle right in their living room

Hrothbert Ward; Quessen - Hrothbert and Stradivarius are brothers of the were-chicken variety. Yes, were-chickens. They're brand new characters, so not much on them yet. Hrothbert is the older brother, and fancies himself quite wise... and fluffy.

Stradivarius Ward; Quessen - Stradivarius is, as his name would suggest, a musician, and his passion is his art. He's energetic, optimistic, and if you give him two seconds, he'll talk your ear off.

Angelina; Spirit - Angelina is another of Skeeter's group, though like Scorch she spends more time being a guardian than a soldier for Light. She sometimes acquires Ryli's help to guide new souls to the afterlife, or Tod's if the soul seems as though it may stick around for awhile before moving on. Angelina and Tod were Russell's guide into the afterlife.

Oswald "Ozzy" Kirsch; Werebat ( human ) - Ozzy is a were-bat, high school student, and one of Roderik's friends. Other than that, I don't know much about him.
