Kidnapping kids to plant evil seeds in them and harvest their darkness is terribly illegal and immoral, but I like that Arukenimon and Mummymon could appeal to the Dark Seed Kids with little more than natural charm and a convincing offer. Mummymon especially. I mean, the guy is a two-meter tall monster man, and he's hyper-aware of that - supplemental material reveals he has self-esteem issues due to his appearance. I always figured Takashi was the first kid Mummymon went to recruit, and he was reluctant to make the first move because he knows how intimidating he must look. Imagine his surprise when this tiny first grader approaches him first and fearlessly tries to make friends.
And you know what? I think he really hoped bringing those kids to the Digital World with Oikawa will make them happy. He's not a bad sort, like that.

Awww, I thought the part where he talked with the child was adorable. But now that I read your description, it looks even sweeter in my eyes. Even if the reason was no good. But Mummymon probably didn't even realize it himself..

That's a really cute way to look at it. Since Mum showed compassion towards Aru at their end... It could very well be he had compassion for some of the kids too.
