Ruth Plumly Thompson also did a good job continuing Frank L. Baum's work. I believe she wrote books. 15- 35. They consider hers to be canon since she wrote similar to him. Her books are harder to come by though....sorry I'm an antqiue book collector mostly for the Oz Books. I geek out when I find others who actually read the books xD
