My entry for [link] 's art contest.Poor Shoji... All he did was go to get some ice cream for himself and his brothers... And then he returns to find that Jun is very good at making sand castles... On top of sleeping people...
I also used this as a way to experiment with gradients (Note Shoji's face and the water...)

Well, it's *based* off of the castle... I built it, like, five years ago, so it was based off of memory... Especially the sand-ball on the pile...

I'm glad you decided to go with chibis for the contest, beach fun does tend to bring chibis to mind. They all look so adorable too. Especially Shoji, I feel so sorry for him having to put up with his brothers' tomfoolery.

(*nods sadly*) Well, strangely enough, I've found him to be one of the most difficult characters to draw, as well as the Tenjoin siblings... Maybe normal-looking people are just hard to draw anime-style? >w\\

Yeah, I find him hard to draw too. It's the hair. Though I have trouble with a fair few characters' hair styles, usually ones I draw a lot.

Yeeeah... The only reason I can draw him relatively well is because I have "Yu-gi-oh! GX: Spirit Caller" for the DS, and I never go anywhere w/o my DS, so I always have visual references for each of the main characters (except for Saiou who, for some reason, didn't appear in my game, despite the game going into events from the second year...)

Well, my dad lives in Florida, and he has no problems with me having video games. He was the one who sent me the DS in the first place! Thankfully, my mom leaves the house before me in the morning, and returns home several hours *after* I do at the end of the day (she likes to put in overtime.)

(when a game item is small and slim enough to be called a "card," and you're doing everything in your power to keep it hidden, it's pretty much a guarantee you're gonna lose one or two of them.) >_\\;;;
