Description
Finally finished!!!Oh God, I worked at this puppet since the middle of last year. It was not so difficult, but always there were things with more priority.
But now, say hallo to cobbler Tack. ^________^
Tack is a charakter from the old, but very beautifull british animated film, „The Thief and the Cobbler“. In other versions known under the names „The Princess and the Cobbler“ or „Arabian Knight“. But if you want to have a look, I recommend the „The Recobbled Cut (2006)“ ([link] ) it’s closely to the original, I think.
It’s very pitty, that this film don’t get the attention like “Aladdin” from Disney. He deserved it!!! Don’t think it's a Disney copy!
But back to the puppet.
I choosed Tack for, because I love his character design. Okay, I like all the others, too. But Tack in his silent, naive way was so cute! Besides these I like very much, that the movie is bright and colorful and only Tack is a bit like if you take Charlie Caplin and put him into a Bollywood film.
I get the pattern from the internet ([link] ) it’s a very good and realistic pattern. Not so simple, of course. I used it for the Munch puppet ( ). For Tack, I changed the gender of the pattern. No breasts and smaller hips. I've done new pattern for feets and hands, because in the original there are no toes and fingers.
The puppet is 66 cm (26 inch) tall and has joints. This makes Tack very flexible and he can pose very nice. I used wire in the fingers, so he can bend it and hold things.
I think, he will be on good terms with my Coraline doll, because both they have the same socks ^____^.

I'm soooo sorry, I have no pattern left, from the clothes. The only thing I can give you is the page where I get the body pattern:
doku.bimyo.jp/scd2/instruction…
It's a very nice page, with instructions and even pattern for some clothes.
There are patterns for boy and girl dolls. It's not the easiest pattern, but for a very moving doll, it's perfect.
I do not like the feets and hands of the pattern. So I made new, but did not have any documents about it > ____ <
Hope, I could help you a bit ^^
