I love nighttime cityscapes with water, and this one is masterfully done. The lighting is beautiful and the reflections really add to the uniqueness of this scene. I also like the symmetry between the building on the left and the boat on the right; my eyes keep bouncing back between them and noticing more details between.

Beautiful! Love the glow.
But err. What on earth o.o The shutter speed in the EXIF data XD "299996/100000 second"
Cus you used HDR? Or am I just going mad?

wow what is his HDR people keep referring to and if you could possibly be so kind can you tell me how did you capture the light so well i have been trying for ages to get pictures with lights and just ending up with blurs.

I did nothing special. Just took 3 exposures with quite long exposure time. If you end up with blurs you have to use steady tripod. Not all tripods are steady. My tripod weights over 4 kilos for example. Also remote release is useful to further reduce shake.

Very nice. it has a very "Victorian" look about it.
I assume its a HDR?

Yeah, I tend to use HDR when there is high dynamic range in pictures. Most HDR look horrible because overdone tonemapping that has nothing to do with HDR principle of getting exposures right
