Costume: Robin, Girl Wonder!Another 'Earth 11' variant, because I DO love my gender-benders.
One sentence: BEST COSTUME EVER. Just... my favorite. Ever. Nice to make, SO comfortable to wear, and everyone loved it!
The only complaint is the actual GLOVE portion of the gloves: I had an artistic vision and combined it with a short-cut and it didn't turn out perfectly, but I don't care too much. The rest of the costume overwhelms that flaw, I think, but I learned my lesson.
Best moments:
1) The Batmen. What, there needs to be a single moment?
2) Getting interviewed repeatedly, and realizing that once the shock of seeing a Robin with Boobs wears off, the only thing left to ask her/him about is whether Batman and Robin are gay.
2b) Getting to say 'rubber bat-nipples' into a camera in regards to which Batman my Robin would have sex with.
2c) Responding, once again into a camera, in response to a prompt, that no, Batman and Robin WOULDN'T have wild, sweaty sex in the back of the Batmobile because Bruce would be too paranoid about the state of the upholstery.
2d) What the HELL?!
3) THE CHILLENS. THEY LOVEDED ME.
(I was dubbed Robinette, Ms. Robin, She-Robin, You're Not Robin, Oh My God Boobs, and many more!)4) Running back to the hostel, fairy-boots slamming the pavement with my cape whipping out behind me, and having a bus-load of kids pop out their windows and squeal "ROBIN, ROBIN! RUN, ROBIN, RUN!" as I shot by. So. Fekkin. Adorable.
...Please, do tell me how wrong that last picture is. PLEASE, I NEED TO HEAR IT. Because I think its kinda hot and I know thats not healthy urrrrr be glad I'm not showing you the rest of the pin-up shots

Oh, I absolutely love your costume. I love, love, love gender-bending. Especially with Robin. But I have to ask...how on earth did you do the shoes?I'm trying my own Robin costume too, and have a huge shoe dilemma.

Well, I made my own pattern from my foot. It's relatively simple, pattern-wise, but it's SO MUCH FRIKKIN EASIER if you have a model, so try and get someone to borrow a foot from, mash fabric around said foot until you can kinda cut it to the shape you like.
The only problem is making it thick and stand-uppy, though. My secret is felt. It sounds cheap, but I sandwiched pieces of strong felt inbetween the inside and outside fabric, sewed through it, and they stood up like a dream. They were obnoxious to make, though, so don't count on having an easy time of it D: GOOD FAIRY BOOTS ARE WORTH WORKING FOR!

XD Naw, I THINK the first Robin was a boy, and the only two girl Robins were Stephanie and Carrie, both of whom just kind of INVADED and went 'OKAY SO UM I'M ROBIN' and Batman went "rrrrrrrrrrgh okay whatever don't get yourself killed."

Yeah, I can, actually! I'm so glad I decided to do the 'comic-book' mask instead of just a domino-mask, because it MADE the costume.
But yeah, I was running at about 50% visual capacity and never tripped, at least. I could see people always, and expressions if they were 4 feet from me, but otherwise... Tanya was like "People are going to think you're a bitch because they're smiling at you and you're not smiling back. Like a bitch." I was like SHITSHITSHIT so I just smiled. All the time.
Being Robin the Shota-Thigh Wonder, I can think of SO MANY BETTER REASONS for my mouth to hurt other than smiling constantly for 9 hours
