Hi there! this is me getting all frustrated with my computer (I REALLY need to buy a mac!!) so, since all my drawings were in stand by thanks to it, I slamed a table and started this doodle of Lightning... which, surprisedly, I´m actually proud of.Hope you like it!

Hola! esta soy yo toda frustrada por mi computadora (REALMENTE necesito una mac!!) así que, ya que todos mis dibujos están en cola de espera gracias a la compu, pues aporre una mesa y empecé a dibujar este burdo sketch de Lightning... que, sorpresivamente, me dejó orgullosa.

you know what i find really intresting? especially since youre awesome picture made me think of it (i should say think of it again actually, not a day goes by that it doesnt pop into my head only because i get bored easily in class and my train of thought is just gets wacky).
how in the world can Claire "Lightning" Farron be such a badass soldier chick and not have even a single scar on her? whereas Fang has all those scars on her arm (which is also a bit confusing considering her life as a hunter, and im sure Vanille got into heaps of trouble that Fangy had to bail her out of when they were younger, i mean, like, shouldnt she have more than just those ones?). Of course, considering the fact that Coccon is as futuristic as it is, im sure their medical technology that they can get rid of things like that faster than a moogle can say "kupo" (and thats pretty damn fast), but something also tells me that her pride wouldnt allow her to let that sort of stuff heal her injuries unless they were really bad, you know? then again, maybe she was just THAT good from the very beginning, i dunno 
sorry for the ramble, its just your insight on all things Lightning intrigues me, and im a little curious to hear your point of view on this. but again, very wonderful picture the blood actually really compliments the pink hue of her hair.

Well... first off, you DON´T know whether she´s got some scars or not, guess it would take a hot guy to find out about that, right? (I´d LOVE it if it where Raine´s job! XD), I mean, to trace her skin so that he could finally find a scar XDD
Because you´re right, it´s hard that such a prolific soldier as herself doesn´t have a scar at all. Nevertheless, I have met many very good soldiers that aren´t scarred at all, so I know it is possible.
On the other hand, even though she´s a very good fighter, she wasn´t on the branch of the army that really had to struggle against a war or civic war. Like, the only thing she did was to get rid of some nasty outlaws and a bunch of fiends. Her work wasn´t as dangerous as it was once she became a l´Cie. And when she did, Hope, the best medic of the group, was always around, and I´m sure that whenever she bled even from a tiny scratch, he was around casting a cura her way... something he didn´t need permission for.
Lightning intrigues me too. I adore Fang, her outspoken and honest, impulsive attitude and sheer determination. But the silent soldier is so misterious that really draws my attention.
I was talking to a very good friend yesterday, and we were marveling that, differently from almost all FF, XIII´s male characters aren´t as appealing as their female counterparts... and for a huge gap.

I can't try it, I don't know how! I'm still trying to figure out the basics to this tablet and the program, but I'm a little lost. Do you draw your images digitally, or do you still draw them manually, and scan them in before coloring?

When I want something very ditailed, or a posture quite hard, I draw them and then scan them. Otherwise, I try to draw them digitally. And don´t get desperate, it took me years to get the vibe of it, and am STILL learning... and tons to learn.

Well first thing I need to do is freakin' learn how to make layers in this stupid program; can't do anything decent until I figure that out, and its being such an arse! Even the program tutorial doesn't quite cover (properly) how to create a layer(s). *kicks Corel*

Thats okay- I have been frantically searching the internet for tutorials to help me, and thus far all I have accomplished is making an animated signature and a Sparkling Tiger Globe. (It was meant to be an animated snowglobe, but since I have the SE edition rather than the full functional one, I am missing the particle plugin that allows me to incorporate "snow" into my image. So instead I added some background noise and made it sparkle. Lol) Pretty lame and tedious, but something new to learn.

Oh yeah... and my luck is, it'll be fickle and pop open with an error warning saying, "Don't touch me there." *tap, tap, click* *SMACK* "I said don't touch me there." Umm... randomly touching one's buttons may not be the safest way to go about it. I have downloaded another program I may tinker with while the trial lasts, so we'll see how that goes.

By touching it in all the wrong places?? (rofl) The best way to learn is to get in there and just tinker with it, I agree. Right now, its just finding the time to do so. And the right program.
