High above, a myriad of twinkling stars served as a stunning canopy. The moon washed over his skin, giving it an almost ethereal glow as he lifted his hand to stroke her jaw line. His amber gaze softened as he leaned in, capturing her lips with a surprising gentleness.

Turquoise ripples drifted across the chilled water’s surface, vaguely reflecting lights from high above as Ichigo pressed Rukia to the wall, gripping the pool’s edge of either side of her petite frame. The distinct muscles in his upper arms bulged and contracted as he held himself up there, using his weight to support them both. Leaning in, he stared into her amethyst orbs for a tantalizingly long moment before lowering his lips to brush across the tender part of her neck.

Her nails dug into his skin as she clung to his shoulders, unable to control her reaction to his touch. He was tormenting her; that much was obvious. The man knew how to make a girl blush. Somehow, the contact of his body pressed against hers was more frustrating than if his hands had been free to roam over the soft curves and contours of her body. His actions were slow, methodic, and deviously calculated.
