This page. THIS. PAGE. turned out to be a HUGE PAIN. The sketch and lineart took forever and I'll never be happy with it. But, that kind of worked out in a way because I decided to try out a different background style and since the drawing was already garbage, I was able to relax and not stress about making the background perfect. And in the end, I really like the background! I may not be able to do a painted background for every page in my real comic, so I'll experiment with drawing in backgrounds but using more painterly techniques because I really had fun with it. I really tried to push the color, I think I get too nervous with color and worry about making the colors too saturated but I think my backgrounds are a bit too drab sometimes. So I pushed it HARD lol and I'm extremely happy I did, I really want to put more colors in my work and push color theory more. It might be very vibrant and maybe to some too much, but I really like it and I think it works out. Trying to practice text too, I didn't fuss over it as much this time. XD trying to relax and not fuss too much. Of course I want it to look good, but my perfectionism can really get in the way.
