Description
This time the image has all together 43 layer and while my PC has renderedthe image, Jackie aka ~Mignon has posted two of her wonderful homework
images. I had already thought that I've maybe worked to complicated and
have thereby produced unnecessary layer. This suspicion has been confirmed,
after I have looked Jackies images. Now I have to rework this image and I
hope I can save 5 or 6 layer.
All together I've probably worked more then 10 hours on it and I've needed
only for the shadow two hours. At first I'd to come up with something to generate
the shadow and then the adjustment of the gradiente has taken a lot of time.
And although I'm not happy with the shadow. I've still to learn a lot with the
gradient adjustment. To work with Screen-Relative coordinates on a rectangular
image with even borders comprised a lot of mathematical stuff, but I really
enjoyed those part of the work. The middle part contents one of my early
exercises, but I had always the feeling this image was not really ready and
so I've reworked it once again and, in addition, have added the texture for
the background.
Created with Ultra Fractal. No Postwork, all done with UF.
All comments and advices are very welcome und much appreciated.
FULL VIEW IS MUCH BETTER!

hahaha...no, kein chinesich oder afrikanisch. mein dictionary sagt "to cootchie coo" ist
amerikanischer slang für süßholz raspeln und ich habe gestern schon einmal diesen begriff
benutzt. Ich wünsche dir einen schönen sonntag. bei uns heir hat der sonntag mit regen begonnen,
der himmel ist stark bedeckt und ich schätze, die sonne werden wir hier heute nich tzu gesicht
bekommen.

Heute ist prachts wetter. Bewölkt aber warm und licht windig. Super. Könnte so bleiben

Oh dear, I really don't believe I'm ahead of you. Today I thought I'm a stupid thing, but it
seems it was not the case... I hope I can do the third image tomorrow and thereby I will
try to follow Janets Tips. This time is so much new stuff...I never have used before textures or
a pixel formula or a mapping etc. I guess it will take some weeks to explore all these things.

I am learning some new things. For instance, I did not know that you could just pull down all the color points of a solid color mask and make it a "reverse" mask. I couldn't figure out how to reverse that type of mask if the ucl didn't have the option. I really like it when Janet explains how certain ucls work. I really love exploring the options. But I remember how exciting it was when I first started using UF and I miss that feeling. Plus, I am having sort of an artistic block right now.
I really want to try one of the challenges for this lesson, if I can find the time.

I could imagine if you slow down a little bit all the UF stuff at these time and after
you've finished the third class it will give you a kick forward and maybe also those
exciting feeling back again. lol

Thank you sweetie, I'm really glad you like it. You should not study the first version of this one here.
Look at Jackies images, these both are really great. I really think the true art is to achieve great effects
with few stuff or work or whatever you want call it. Fewer is often more, it's a german saying in verbatim
translating. I don't know if it is understandable in english. Maybe you have the same with other words?

It could be my rotten spelling too rofl I can SAY it but spell it? I knew I had the beer phrase correct lol but I wasnt sure I spelled 'you' properly lol. Who knows then WHAT I said by placing that E on the end? rut roh! hahaha
I love languages though. I used to speak spanish fluently. Ive not used it so much over the past 10 years or so and I have lost a lot, but I can get by somewhat. I speak a little Swedish. A touch of Italian. I would love to REALLY delve into languages more and be multi-lingual but Ill prolly just always dabble here and dabble there lol.

denise-g In reply to MooseCall [2006-05-13 21:15:56 +0000 UTC]
My only other languages are english and russian, but with the russian is so sad, I've forgotten msot
of them, although I've learned it in school about 9 years. I'm very glad that I've improved my english
so much in the last few month. I've learned more in those month then in twenty years. It's a good thing
to use the english every day. But I really would like to hear how my english sounds in your ears. I always
think it must be broken english...
With an E too much at the end it's not a problem in german, I believe I don't know a word for what
it would be have a other meaning. The funny think could be, we would spoken the E at the end...lol
And these three little words "ICH LIEBE DICH" this is mostly used between two lovers. We german has
some subtle variationes of those words: "Ich hab dich lieb" meant actually the same but is used mostly
between friends or in family...it is a little bit less or fewer or other than "Ich liebe Dich". Then we have
"Ich hab dich gern"...this is "I like you" in english.

MooseCall In reply to denise-g [2006-05-13 22:15:04 +0000 UTC]
OH lol who would have thought there were so many variations to be taken on "I Love You" which in English could be said to anyone you care super deeply for, could be spoken in a way ment to be intimate with a lover, or something you would say to your parents or your child, something you would say to a very dear friend. It is really neat how in different languages and cultures that there can be more degrees of subtlety.
My spanish is like your Russian, I took it all through highschool and college but I havent really spoken it much since. My vocabulary has shrunk tremendously, and I do not remember how to conjugate verbs in any tense other than present and past. I have forgotten a lot of the irregular verbs too. It could be worse, but ohhh it could be much better. I used to be sooo fluent. But that was a long time ago lol
Your English is fine. I wouldnt say that it is broken, because you use verbs, and use them properly. Its just little things with prepositons mostly. placement of them in your sentences. or on some verbs (our weird irregular ones) like have or has, you might interchange them. However, it doesnt at all take away or detract from what you are trying to say. I can always understand you just fine, and know exactly what it is you mean. If you ever have a question on anything, you know I am here for you and can help you in any way. I wish I spoke German so that teaching you more English would be easy, but all I can do is ask you for more beer and tell you I love you in an inappropriate way lol

sweetheart you can get all of my beer, my ice box is yours...lol
and since I say the whole world to know that I love men, can I say to you:
sweetheart I really love you in the same inappropriate way...lol
yeah the grammar is a difficult thing for me, like things such had have been..etc....brrrr...lol
but I've decided to sign up a course for english grammar in a school for adults. It would be stupid
not to use the chance to improve my english if I already speak, or better write, it every day.
And this will give me the chance to speak more than write. Read or hear and understand is another
thing than to speak a language. If i make terrible mistakes, it could be a great help for me if you
would correct me in those cases.
Oh oh... have you read Janets answer? It seems Denise is not a stupid thing but a clever thing...

mega mega tic tac toe....hahaha...sorry dear, i had already a beer in the hope I can sleep...lol
lol...with the I LOVE YOU you should be very careful in germany, it could be you must married
the other one after a funny night...NO NO, it was a joke...but I guess if all had have enough beer
nobody would notice the different...

You know, if I have enough beer -- I love everyone anyway If others drink with me, they will love to. So its all good hahah. I will be careful with my love yous in Germany though.
One day we would love to go to visit your country. Traveling abroad is something we have always wanted to do. I have been lucky enough to go to Sweden once, we have been to Mexico and Canada but other than that, it is it. One day we will see more. And I will remember the 'I love yous' hehe
The most important phrase to remember in any language though, is to ask for more beer hahaha
I havent had a chance to see another tic tac toe, I saw Cliffs, but havent seen if anyone else has posted one yet. I am assuming that someone has! I am glad you liked the math part, it balances out how much I hated it hahaha I am very relieved that it is over and the only reason I would attempt the tic tac toe is because you asked
(This must show how much I like you, because anyone else I would scream NO and run the other way haha) We will have fun with it, though. I still do not understand the math parts at all. I dont expect that I ever really will. I am greatful for photoshop and an ability to frame in there easily should I ever want to. Ive got some diptcyh and triptych masks saved now and if I want to make more, I will just reuse them
After the class is over, I will prolly sit down and take a look at the math stuff again to see if I can grasp it better, but for right now, I am just greatful it is DONE lol. This next lesson looks fun. Geometric designs WITHOUT MATH! hahahaha I might not ever really need to even LOOK at lesson two ever again hahahahhaa

I also love to make travels and I hope some day I can do it more again. I'm not quite sure
but I believe I've never crossed the europaen borders but I hope some day I'll cross the

Yes, it is an it. In English we dont give a sex to something that isnt a male or female living creature. Spanish does that too, things are either feminine or masculine. But they put the differentiation in the 'the' that procedes the word, and tack on a masculine or feminine ending. Like La Primavera -- the A is the feminine on the end of the word, LA the feminine the. If springtime were a 'boy' they would say El for the and it would end in O. English doesnt do that though, so most things are just an it hehe

denise-g In reply to MooseCall [2006-05-19 10:55:28 +0000 UTC]
This is similar in German, with us the gender is determined always about the definite article: the man - der Mann, the woman - die Frau, the child - das Kind.
The child is an it, the sun is a she - die Sonne, the hat is a he - der Hut, but I don't know in many cases, why some is male or female or neuter,
not everything is logically understandable. As for example the park or the garden, both is male and not neuter.

It has always intreagued me how languages place gender on words. In English, everything is an it unless your a living breathing male or female with the right genetailia lol. I wond er if the decisions of inanimate objects being male or female dates back from centuries ago and just the feelings of the people in those times. English is one of the harder languages to learn, I have heard. But at least one thing is easy. Everything is just THE lol

I can understand some things logical, but with animals, e.g., already no more:
the cat, the snake and the giraffe are "SHE", the dog, the bird, the bear, the butterfly,
the hare are "HE", the sheep, the pig, the hippo are "IT". WHY? ...LOL This is crazy, yes?
