Looks cool, shame there isn't a moving mouth, I know it wouldn't work as well seeing as the mouth is so big. But still top quality looks like you'd get it at a high end costume shop.

Yes, the mouth of the mask does not open. The task was to make the mask is very strong. That it is well protected person.

Good stuff that you put the sketch, and mask down, really interesting to see the idea and payoff, and how well it worked out.

Then I will continue to do so in the future. It is not always required to make a sketch before work is sometimes enough pictures of something similar so that thumbnails are not all work.

I tried doing a mask a couple of years ago, and after doing the mold on my own head, realized I didn't know what the design was going to be. In the end it turned into a skull design with mexican designs, but I ended up having to do some sketches because I really didn't know how to shape it. I'm really interested too, what kind of material are you using for the finished masks?

Sketch can be very helpful. It helps to avoid many mistakes and to start working to understand how it will look a mask. You can always change in the process sketch. It often happens when good ideas come to mind in the process.
I usually use durable materials where you can be confident that they will not break on impact, they do not spoil the water or a long stay under the hot sun.

Single best Orc mask I've ever seen.
I really like how the wrinkles and skin folds blend into the wearers eyes. It just makes the whole thing come to life!

Since my childhood I love to draw and sculpt. What I just did not do clay. By education I am an artist.
The first mask I've done about 8 years ago. The mask was made of scrap materials. It was used in harsh conditions and often a mask broke. I had to fix it permanently. Since then, I decided to do only from reliable durable materials.
It's old masks here. Now I've done several projects for the new technology for themselves. Soon will publish here photos.
