Other than the sneakers (which doesn't quite work for me with the dapper image he presents), I really like this. Your portrayal of him face-wise is about spot-on as ~Tailbone says too many draw him excessively young when I'd say he's at least in his mid thirties at the very youngest. Still not sure about the yellow shirt but I like how the trousers and waistcoat are an inbetween stage between the two canon versions of his trousers we tend to see: black and purple.
Overall one of the better redesigns I've seen

Oh, I love this! The sneakers are a fantastic contrast to the typically dapper look and say something about his line of work - honestly, running around in dress shoes with no tread really wouldn't be very convenient. Gotta have some measure of function!
I also love that his features lean towards his more classic (I'd dare say proper) appearance - personally, I really dislike the young and pretty look a lot of people seem to give him as well as a lot of the wild variations in the comics themselves. It's honestly a shame that the artists can't stick to drawing a character, well, looking like themselves!
