Description

Catching some rays, or more so the shades and we nap the day away, entry #120 is cooling off now, it's Ivysaur. On 27th February 2016, The Pokemon Company commemorated its 20th Anniversary which I celebrated in my own way with a double upload. Those being the final evolutions of the original Kanto starters, but awkwardly, I didn't include Venasaur. In retrospect, those pieces are old and bad now. Anyway, I had this idea in my head for a good while now, just lounging around in the sun, but the shade has moved across over time. Had to pay particular attention to the shadows for this piece, keeping it a distinct entity from Ivysaur's variety of body textures. Depicting that Ivysaur probably had a prime sunbathing spot, but time had passed since then. I was going to include more pots and plants around Ivysaur, but I was already having setbacks due to issues with perspective and concern that I may obscure the focus of the piece.
