Description
This is my entry for the ArtOrder/Muddy Colors challenge - Eowyn and the Nazgul from The Lord of the Rings. It's such a great scene in the book, so I really enjoyed illustrating it!I could have spent so much more time on this, but I was busy with work and stuff until short before the deadline °-°;
If I'm lucky and get critique from the judges, I might just work on it a little more

Wow cool! I like they way you had the Witch-king "inadvisable-ish" (a something which has become rare seance the movies came out)

Beautiful! I also love that your Eowyn looks more like I imagined her to in the book, less like Miranda Otto. I think she portrayed the character well, but she just looked too delicate for Eowyn.

I had always thought the Witch King[Nazgul]'s steed was one of a kind,
or at least larger than the others, as opposed to the movie's depiction.
Good contrast of dark and light; you've even got it reflected on the Witch King! Yet the darkness ends where the beast's wings begin; The tail looks half finished, but it could also be suggestive of depth or fog of war(?). Eowyn's figure makes one wonder how she ever passed [was allowed to ride to war] as Dernhelm. The light reflected off of her hair and figure makes he stand out, good job.

You look upon a woman! Eowyn was always my favorite. I love how you've done this, with the lighting, and that hair, and those wings!

This. Is. Fabulous. Incredible work. I like the look of surprise but also anguish on her face, like she's not quite certain what to do next....
Well done. Mae govannen.
