this is ukko's brother notaco.everthing, good and bad, you find in human society you see exhibited in crow society too (perhaps not surprising since we are also complex social animals).
notaco has never been able to properly vocalize. he has paid a heavy price and is largely rejected by crow society.
he amazed me by bringing food to his adopted sister squeako when squeako first injured her leg.
here he stands in the rain, alone, as he usually is.

the cool thing is ukko started kidnapping her for a couple days at a time and is forcing her to get a life. she is still far too passive but is learning to assert herself by copying some of ukko's tactics.
