Description
It took a while but now my tutorial is ready
I try to explain the process of creating a mattepainting, including
basic painting technics, using 3d elements and composing them inside your painting as well some ways of color-
grading. Please don´t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Keep on trying with Matte Paintings, If you get the mood and the initial sketch right, then it shouldn't be a problem to become realistic
I did the hazy brush on my own; its goot to have a look at freaky textures and to extract brushes out of that; but this one is actually "stolen" from one of my paintings^^

Der pure Wahnsinn.
Ich hab vor Jahren mal mit Cinema 4D einen Brunnen gebaut,und erinnere mich noch wie lange ich dafür gebraucht hab damits ansatzweise so aussah wie ich wollte. Von Photoshop will ich erst gar nicht anfang xD Naturalistisch mit dem Programm colorieren geht bei mir gar nicht,vorallem keine Hintergründe.
Großartig wenn man die Programme so beherrscht dass man in der Lage ist solche Welten zu schaffen.

Keine Angst, alles was du sagst kann man mit Übung ausbügeln. Grad wenn du Photoshop und Cinema kombinierst hast du dieses "tüftel-render-warte" Problem nicht mehr, weil du deine Fortschritte von da an in Echtzeit siehst. Ich bin sicher mit den richtigen Techniken kannst du schnell gute Ergebnisse hinbekommen. Und zeichnerisch hast du ja schon was drauf- das ist eh die wichtigste Grundlage
Ich arbeite grad an noch ein paar anderen Tutorials in richtung Compositing, schau mal wieder rein, is sicher was für dich dabei

Gestern hab ich ein Bild hochgeladen das hier ich wollte so gerne eine zerfallenen Stadt als Hintergrund... mit Feuer und co xD ... so ähnlich wie bei Final Fantasy x'3.. aber irgendwie sah das alles in meinem kopf ganz anders aus xD ... und dann lief mir dein Mega Bild über den Weg und cih dachte nur so "MIST!" xD ... Hast du das mit Photoshop gelernt oder so? ... oder alles selbst beigebracht? ^^

Weisst, is doch kein Problem Referenzen zu benutzen, is sogar von großem Vorteil... Zum studieren von Sachverhalten is das sogar notwendig- und es kann deine Kunst in ganz neue Sphären pushen
Deine Stadt braucht einfach ein wenig mehr Zeit glaub ich, sowas muss man entwickeln, das geht gerade am Anfang noch nicht so schnell;
Das sieht auf den ganzen Speedpaintings von Dylan Cole oder Craig Mullins immer so garstig einfach aus, aber die machen das ja auch schon ewig und haben schon ein riesigen Portfolio genau in diese Richtung. Was ich sagen will ist: Nimm dir Zeit. Viel Zeit wenn nötig. Schau genau hin, studier Gebäudetypen und Stimmungen und probier viel aus. Dann wird das auch mit den Menschen in Postapokalyptischer Stadtatmosphäre klappen

Just trying to understand clearly, the farthest point with the trees and small village is a photo? But the rock outcroppings that surround the cylindered city is actually painted?
I read over the tutorial a few times, but I'm still a little confused on that.

I used several photographs on tis piece, the gaps (and sometimes there are huge gaps 
The dark rocks you are talking about are from a small photograph. So it was nessessary to stretch and fake some detail...

I'm sure you could do this right now, there is no magic, just use a greebletool or a lot of variation in your extrudes and you can achieve a lot of detail in a very small amount of time.

Danke Fiona, der Cloudbrush ist selbstgemacht,ja. Der Rake ist in Photoshop sogar schon drin, die anderen sind nur modifikationen (scatter ist zum Beispiel eine kleine, Quadratische Spitze mit aktiviertem scattering)
