Was it an easy thing to do?
Im thinking about breeding my rat, but im not sure i dont want anything to go wrong.

It's pretty easy, you just have to make sure the mum's got a good diet otherwise you could run into trouble with her eating the babies, but as long as she's got enough protein you should be right. The babies are very cute, you need to separate the males and females at about 5-6weeks old though as they're capable of breeding at that age and the mum will need a break. They might still suckle at that age, but they don't need to, they'll be eating solids by then. I'd take the dad out once the mum's obviously pregnant too, otherwise he'll mate with her after she gives birth and it's not good to have her pregnant again while she's raising the first litter. If you advertise in the right places you could probably find someone, though there aren't too many people around that like rats unfortunately.

They're just so cute when they're little, I don't think I'll ever get tired of breeding them
