Paper Mario/Mario Story style sprites for Snailicorn, an enemy seen only in New Super Mario Bros DS and no other game.

In the far wintery areas of the Mushroom Kingdom, strange shelled critters with two legs gallop atop icy paths. It’s amazing how they’ve survived in such circumstances. They are easily offended, however, as when anyone approaches the cold escargot, they dash towards the enemy, in turn threatening themselves to head over the slippery slope.

When I was designing the PM style Snailicorn, I did try to stay close to the original NSMBDS version’s larger lower lip. Unfortunately, it didn’t look right no matter what I did, and I tried several mouthpieces. So I went in a cuter direction.
