Paper Mario/Mario Story sprites for Spindrift, a plant enemy from Super Mario 64 and its remake. This was part of a request from SkiiDigger720 of discord.

As it appears, Spindrifts hover in the air end near-endlessly, floating to and fro. If one were to jump atop them, one might get a spin jump boost to greater heights. That may sound ridiculous, but so is an Italian plumber in a mushroom world, yet no-one has an issue with that. Also unusual is despite being mostly vibrant flowers, Spindrifts mostly live in icy climates.

Between the original N64 release and DS remake, Spindrifts got human-color skin and bigger petals. I seem to have accidentally placed the skin-colored ones first, though- possibly due to subconscious bias.
Spindrifts were supposed to appear in New Super Mario Bros DS, but were cut from the final game. They also have never been in any Paper Mario, classic or modern. Regarding the latter, I think they'd work as a good female counterpart to the Toads and/or a good replacement for the strangely absent Crazy Dayzees- maybe even toss in a new gold coloration as a stand-in for Amazy Dayzee.
