Finally, the first character that I made in my new series that I'll dub it "Heroverse" which may be a working name for that series but we'll have to see in the future. Basically I wanted to make a character that's an homage to Jim Carrey and Jim Varney's characters in a way but with a superhero take so here's Eugene Varney aka The Janitor.

Personality
Despite not being as bright as any hero and he may not have powers like The Dark Knight but he’s not as smart as him if not at all. But he does have a heart of gold. He tends to make the most small mistakes but everyone knows his heart is in the right place. Due to his life not being as successful as most people’s life or at least great due to being a former janitor, he’s humbled as a person.

Abilities
Amateur hand-to-hand combat- Despite having no martial arts or actual hand-to-hand training, he can handle himself though he’s quite poor at fighting with his own hands since he usually uses his mop as a weapon.

Peak human durability- Do I need to say more? He has that dumb guy durability meaning if a car runs him over, he’ll just get up and walk like none of his bones are broken. Probably because he’s too dumb to be broken.

Weapons and Gadgets
His mop- his main weapon that he usually uses as a staff weapon.

Water balloons- Don’t be mistaken as the water balloons that he uses are actually filled with mop water, so you probably don’t want to be splashed by those.

Bio
Eugene Varney came from pretty humble beginnings, He wasn’t from a rich family but not really from a poor family as well meaning his family was middle class. during his childhood, every day he would read superhero comics from the age of six even when he even makes it his future career. However, due to the time that he lived during his childhood, the concept of superheroes outside the comics that he read was considered impossible or if someone does try to become the closest thing to being a superhero, it would be treated like how some people perceive the existence of cryptids, or in rare cases, an activist who dressed like one back in Eugene’s day that not many people talk about nowadays. Since he didn’t really have any big ambitions besides becoming a superhero, in his adult life, he became a school janitor around the early 2000s and he would start working as one at Roger Gilbert High School. During his whole life as the janitor of that school, he was considered by most students to be one of the best janitors due to his humble nature and treated the students like a friend. It wasn’t until 2008 when he was 33 years old and saw a female classmate getting bullied by another student. When he saw that classmate being bullied, he suddenly had a flashback of the time he too was bullied for his love for superhero comics when he was nine years old and didn’t have anyone to stand up for him. So he felt like he had to stand up for the bullied classmate who possessed Eugene without thinking, grabbing the bucket that had dirty mop water before going behind the bully and dumping the bucket on him, humiliating him once he is completely wet with the mop water. The bully tries to charge Eugene but ended up slipping and falling on his back due to the mop water getting on the floor. Despite doing the right thing, Eugene, unfortunately, got fired by the school. When he got home, he contemplated where to go next since he is now fired. He could work at a different school but he wasn’t even sure if he would be hired at a different school, not that he tried possibly due to not wanting to start over. He started to reflect on his life as a janitor, like the time when he found a student’s lost notebook before finding the person who owns that notebook, the time when he gave the money of his own to one kid whose lunch money got stolen, then he thought about the recent deed he did for the female student that was being bullied. He thought that since he was able to stand up for others in his own school, perhaps he could stand up for others since he remember reading comics about superheroes and thought of becoming one. So he went to a thrift store to buy aviator goggles to use as a mask and got himself a leather pouch that he attached to the side of his belt to use as a utility belt, as for his own super suit, he used his own janitor uniform as one. He developed his own makeshift gadgets such as water balloons filled with mop water which is usually the only gadget in his belt but his main weapon is his own mop. When he first started heading to Cincinnati, at first, while patrolling, he didn’t see any crime happening till he saw someone being mugged. Reminded of what he did to help the girl from being bullied, he grab one of his water balloons before throwing it at the mugger’s face after getting his attention. Like the bully, this causes the would-be mugger to try to charge at the Janitor but unlike the bully, he had a knife, and Eugene as The Janitor, throws another water balloon filled with mop water at the charging mugger’s face, and the soapy water got into his eyes, causing him to miss the Janitor and with the swing of the Janitor’s mop to the mugger’s leg, he accidentally fell to the ground. The mugger was shocked that he was stopped by some guy who threw a mop of water-filled water balloons at him before he ran away from the Janitor. When the Janitor stood there and watched the mugger flee, the person who was being mugged thanked him for stopping the mugger then eventually, The Janitor became Cinnicati’s local hero that people admire and look up to. This may be a start to Eugene’s new purpose in life but also his misadventures as Cinnicati’s superhero begins.
