Description
This is my most complicated Photoshop piece to date, with over 7,700 layers and a total file size of 2.2GB.I've been receiving a lot of questions about how I manage 7000+ layers, so here's a bit of background: 7700 is the total number of layers if you add them all up from the many documents that comprise the final piece. The way I approached it is by creating the pieces individually and saving them into separate canvas groups, then importing each component as flattened graphics into the final canvas. By doing this I was able to keep the master file down to about 800 layers. If I had kept all the layers intact for each itty bitty component, I would have had to manage the 7700 layers in one canvas, which would probably have melted my computer.

Thank you very much! The word Geek was hand-drawn from scratch, no fonts used.

Thanks. I wasn't really going for technical accuracy, I didn't even use reference photos, just imagination and memory. Site is back up, btw.

isnt the difference between a geek and a nerd basically the intelligence? nerds are really smart, geeks are just into geeky things

In high school, geeks n nerds are usually put out this way:
Nerds: We loves rules and being teacher pets!
Geeks: Screw rules! We are on our own!

The geeks in my school usually loved to start out new things in science n tech classes, we are the rebels of daily boring n slow lessons (our school was belong to the kind of special teaching system for slow students but not all of us were like that). We designed and made robots, machines, vehicles, computers. Or we created our own study plans that doesn't base on the school.

If there has ever been such a specific, ratified distinction between nerds and geeks, I was unaware.
