My first try at food-photography, so please be nice. ^^I have no clue about decorating or anything, i just tried to make it look like it was a sunny afternoon.
I took the shot with the intention to put text on it, as it is to be used as an advertisement, that's why the cake is out of focus, to not interfere too much with the text to be put in.

Thanks! I spent quite a few hours browsing dA and thinking about how i could light it.
Composition was more a trial and error thing, but i think it worked reasonably well, although, like said above, i would've liked to move the single piece of cake more into the frame, so that it doesn't stick too much to the edge.
