Much like Team Voltron, The Storm Hawks from the Planet Atmos are one of the most trusted and valued allies of Optimus Prime and his Autobots. The two teams came to meet each other during a battle with Decepticons which involved a spacebridge accident.

In the accident it transported both Team Prime and Megatron's group to the world of a thousand mountaintop kingdoms. This is where fate would bring the fated meeting of two groups of heroes.

Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Bulkhead, Arcee, Jazz and Drift would join up Aerrow, Piper, Finn, Stork, Junko and Radarr as they wish to protect Atmos while Megatron allies himself with the Cyclonians in an effort to conquer Atmos.

The fated meeting between the two teams started a friendship which still continued as Optimus would introduce his Atmosian friends to Commander Shepard and the Avengers as well as the other Autobots.
