I think I've drawn that comparison before with your work -
--Always admired Bacon's compositions - esp his triptychs with the way he divides space- his linework
and colour choices ( not so much the twisted faces , etc ) -- I've always hoped I could take some of those
aspects of into my own work . But you seem to have done what I would -like - to do . So I admire it very much .
It's still very much 'your' work -( always somewhat hesitant to associate a deviation with another established
artists work --- but it just clicked instantly into my mind with this piece - so I thought I'd share it .
Always good to see you back on DA !

Bacon, yes he ha been arond for some time. I like both his compositions, which I have made use of, but also the existential qualities in the settings and in the figures and and faces which I also used – sometimes humorlessly like in this one: derkert.deviantart.com/art/A-f… . I am happy you like mu work but also a little surprised you cant those aspects of his work. Copie his compositions and put your stuff in it! I donr mind being compared to other artist, not if like them at least. People have noted Bacon also in rather non-figurative pieces which I found very interesting. So what artists are you inspired by?

I've been most inspired by Georgio de Chirico . Morandi and Joseph Cornell - and their influence is evident
in my work --- haven't attempted anything inspired by Bacon - yet ! . . .( I'm lazy
- but I'll get there eventually ! )
You definitely have your own style(s) - influenced or not . of course everything is derivative - just a matter of how much one adds their own spin on things !

Yes Morandi too, I looked him up, yes, quite true. But I do think you also end up in being true to yourself in your delivery. And doing it really well.
