sketch for now.....here's a my version of tropical angel's [link] TF character Ultimo Rex. This is sort of a 'movie' version. Ive added door wings, to add visual strenght (say wah?! lol), well, really i felt it needs something on his back.
shown here transforming and using his ultimate weapon, his chest cannon (LCD: Laser Cannon of Doom or PCD: Plasma Cannon of Doom...lol)

Fanart where we get to see a character transforming isn't too common. I like it alot.
Overall, the entire piece feels like a panel from a comic. Maybe that's partly the inclusion of a border but the fact that you're showing a sequence of events makes it more interesting than your standard TF pinup art. *thumbsup*

Well, it works just fine without the full alt mode. You've clearly communicated that he's a car transforming into a robot and the transformation sequence isn't muddied or obscured either, which is another thing I notice too often in TF comics. It's very difficult to get across the awe of a transformation in other media besides animation.
